 When do I begin Designing?

Remodel:  When you know you are committed to doing the project within  6 months. (more time needed if major renovations are in order)

 New Construction:   The time to design is 2 to 4 months  before you break ground, depending on the size and complexity of the project.  The cabinet line will determine the time frame needed.  Custom companies take 12 or more weeks  for your order to deliver.  Semi-Custom companies, such as Wellborn,  take only 3 weeks to deliver.

Go to your designer prepared! Have these on hand.

1. Samples of styles you love.
2. Pictures of your existing kitchen
3. basic dimensions of area.
4. Wish list of appliances
5. Goodies inside of cabinets you want... i.e. wastebasket, mixer lift, roll-out trays etc...
6. Plans- if home is in the conceptual stage.
7. A budget - this will dictate the cabinet and design the designer will be able to provide you.
8. New construction - Allowances
