ACW Kitchen & Bath
About Us, Our Services, The Design Process, and Fees
ACW began in 1986 as Architectural Custom Woodwork,
www.architecturalcustomwoodwork.com Providing custom millwork,
libraries, wainscot, wine rooms, windows and doors. In March
of 2006 owner Doug Cone added kitchen designer, Linda Berg, to
his staff and began ACW Kitchen & Bath. Since that time, ACW
Kitchen & Bath has provided cabinets, design, and beautifully remodeled kitchen after kitchen,
offices, baths, closets, garages, and entertainment areas. We
supply all types of countertops for our cabinetry, as well as, make
custom wood tops for our clients here on site. (Just one the perks
of being a division of Architectural Custom Woodwork )
ACW Kitchen & Bath provides complete
kitchen & bath remodel services. We leave it to the customer to decide how much, or how little, of
the kitchen remodel process they want to physically participate in. Some
clients want everything provided by ACW, while others like the idea
of tearing out their old kitchen themselves! Some clients are,
or have close friends that provide electrical and plumbing services
- That's Ok! You may have any combination of services we
provide. One exception is design services. Your kitchen
or bath design is
a part of our package that accompanies the cabinetry we provide.
If you are looking for just "design ideas" Look for a design
company that provides just that service. Remember, kitchen design
services are not free - Expect to pay a fee.

Some words from ACW Kitchen & Bath designer - Linda Berg
The design process with ACW Kitchen & Bath begins with an
appointment at the shop.
This is a "getting to know you" type of
appointment - I want you to feel comfortable talking with me,
and feel I have your best interests in heart. It's important
to me, that we have a warm, friendly relationship, as opposed to
cool and professional one - That's how I create. We will be
spending a great deal of time together... you have to be comfortable with
me. You'll also look at
cabinet and door style samples.
We can't design for you... If we don't have a product, or color that
fits your needs! Bring pictures of your kitchen and we'll chat.
If you feel I can design for you, we'll move
to the next step, an in-home consultation/measure. There's a
small fee - that's to be expected. This is a fun appointment!
We'll measure the space, taking in all site considerations. We'll
take the
"Before" pictures, and begin the creative process. We talk about
your ideas, my ideas, and sketch different
options
out on paper. With this we should have a good idea on the
direction the design will take. I'll go back to the shop and
input all of our ideas in the computer, and when you visit on your
next appointment, we'll have some pretty pictures of your new
kitchen! We'll talk about the
financial aspects of your project, and you can decide if you want to move forward with more design
appointments, and ultimately a new beautiful kitchen!
See my
kitchen design portfolio - It
is just a very small portion of kitchens I've designed, and installed
over the past 11 years.
Designing your kitchen should be fun! You should NEVER feel
pressured to buy. Pressure and creativity don't go
together.... How could I create a space meant just for you, and rush
you at the same time... Impossible! I will always honor that
philosophy. :)
